Description: This work serves as the cover design for Tokyo Type Directors Club Vol.33, created by Daijiro Ohara himself. The annual publication compiles outstanding graphic and typographic works selected by the Tokyo TDC in 2022, including posters, corporate identities, packaging, and more—a total of 514 works from around the world. In terms of design, Ohara employed watercolor typography and graphic elements with a hand-drawn texture, paired with a transformed A5 format and a substantial 488-page volume, resulting in a visual style that feels both weighty and approachable, rustic yet refined. Additionally, the edges of the cover were treated with a soft fiber-embossed finish, giving the surface a smooth, warm tactile quality that resonates with the experience of holding and preserving a daily object.
