- Description
- The first assignment of Morphology I was to create a dotted typeface using Illustrator. Particular attention was given to making the letters resemble scattered pebbles: circles of varying sizes were evenly arranged by constructing a custom grid. The difficulty lay in the fact that no two dots were the same size, requiring repeated adjustments—creating and deleting letters multiple times—to achieve an overall balance. The second assignment was to create letters starting from tracing. By faithfully tracing architectural photographs, extracting and recombining their elements, a typeface was produced. Even when the forms were partially broken, the identity of architecture remained, expressing a fascination with buildings. It invites viewers to guess which parts of the letters correspond to which architectural elements, making the observation more engaging. Some street advertisements were also incorporated—encouraging attention to the details.
