豆皿袜

作品简介: 关注到“豆皿”和“袜子”在功能上的相似性，我尝试将以古伊万里（日本江户时代的有田烧瓷器）为中心的传统豆皿图案延展到袜子设计之中。豆皿是一种能放在手掌中的小器皿，自江户时代以来便在餐桌上被广泛喜爱使用。它虽小巧，却在和食中承担着重要的功能——比如盛放酱油，或者夹取和摆放调味配料。或许正因如此，那些由工匠之手绘制在器皿上的细腻而精致的图案总是令人着迷。例如描绘花草、蝴蝶、鸟、鱼等自然界的元素；或者唐草纹、几何纹样、山水、雪景等丰富的表现。我对这种虽小却包罗万象的豆皿世界深感兴趣，也因此开始了这次的创作。豆皿具有一种“虽不是主角，却能衬托主角的存在”“讲究起来会让生活稍微丰盈”的点缀性特质。

Description: This work draws attention to the functional similarities between mamezara (small Japanese side dishes) and socks, and attempts to extend traditional mamezara patterns—centered on Old Imari designs—into sock design.A mamezara is a palm-sized vessel that has been widely loved and used at the Japanese dining table since the Edo period. Though small, it plays an important role in Japanese cuisine—for example, holding soy sauce, or serving condiments and garnishes. Perhaps because of this, the delicate and intricate patterns painted by artisans on these vessels have always been fascinating: depictions of flowers, butterflies, birds, fish, as well as arabesques, geometric motifs, landscapes, and snowy scenes.I became deeply interested in this miniature yet all-encompassing world of mamezara, which inspired this project. Mamezara embody an ornamental quality—“not the protagonist, but able to complement the main dish”—and they enrich daily life precisely through such subtle attention to detail.
